Food at the Red Lion
We are very excited to finally be able to offer some food all be not a full menu just yet.
Sausage roll and Scotch eggs will be available as bar nibbles and served with a red onion chutney, the perfect accompaniment to a pint of our ale. Light lunches including homemade baguettes and soup served with crusty bread will be served all week from 12pm-3pm. if you're looking for something a bit more "meaty' then our ploughman's board is the one. Loaded with a homemade scotch egg, ham, cheese and pickles, it's the pinnacle of country pub food.
Come in and try our new grazing boards, perfect as a nibble while catching up with friends or as a substitute to supper at home.
Our Charcuterie board celebrates a local charcuterie company and includes a chilli salami, copper and pork loin. The meats are partnered perfectly with pickles and olives and served with crusty bread.
The cheese board is filled with delicious cheese including a local goats and a divine blue. served with all the garnish: grapes, chutneys, apple and cheese biscuits.
Go all out and order the Red Lion special, a board full of homemade scotch eggs, sausage rolls, onion chutney, ham, cheese and pickles, we are really quite proud of this one!
