A thatched building, open log fires and traditional pub fayre creates a warm and homely atmosphere for casual or formal dinning, whether in the main dinning area or in one of our private rooms. There are two private rooms where we are able to seat up to 30 in our Red Room or up to 14 in the Hunt Room. Both of these rooms are available free of charge for private parties.
We also have an enclosed traditional courtyard garden with facilities for barbeques in the summer and dining outdoors, weather permitting. The garden is also available for private parties with the use of a marquee for functions.
Most of our food is locally produced and much of our menu is cooked freshly to order. We have a specials board which is updated on a daily basis, e.g. Chicken and Vegetable Curry, Fish Dish of the Day and our homemade soups. As most of our food is freshly produced, we are able to accommodate any special requests for variations.
We stock a range of traditional cask ales, including Ruddles, Deuchars, IPA and Spitfire. We also have Lagers, Guiness, John Smiths, Cider and a wide range of wines. See our wine menu for more details.
